Love Rhino (aka Jonathan O’Riordan) is having a launch party for his new album “Tumatakuru”. I’m playing support on the night, alongside Halo Darkly. Gig details after a bit of info on the album:

“Tumatakuru” is the long awaited debut album from Love Rhino. Containing 11 tracks and running to 53 minutes the predominantly instrumental album is a blend of electronic and acoustic compositions recorded in New Zealand.

For various reasons the release has been delayed longer than planned but we can now bring it to you in all its glory. The CD will officially be on sale on Saturday June 20th and can be purchased at Road or Spin Dizzy Records and will also be available by mail order through the Love Rhino web site.

Preview tracks from the album here: www.myspace.com/lrhino. The album is being released in conjunction with the Alphabet Set who have tons of free home grown electronic music to suit every palate. Check them out at www.alphabetset.net

By the by, I hope to be playing a few brand new tracks at this gig, moving from ambience to chaos, and possibly back again (I haven’t decided yet).

‘Twas truly, gorgeously, gloriously chaotic. Fantastic to hear you play live again. Though I have been avid downloader of Ebauche live sets, I had not been present for one (mostly due to being on the flipside of the planet) since early 2004. Too long. More live Ebauche please.

Thanks dude, really glad you enjoyed it. Obviously it’s a shame I cocked up the recording of the gig, but am thinking of turning it into an ABCnet, although really had hoped to do it by now..

Any more gigs planned for the excellent Love Rhino and his wonderful drummer?
